“Narrow down your problem statement.”
You roll your eyes. You think, “But I want to save the world!”
And the professor shakes their head: “That’s not how this works.”
Annoying. Frustrating. But in the end — it’s the only thing that works.
Business is the same.
Everyone wants to say: “I’m a marketer. I’m a consultant. I’m a strategist.”
But here’s the truth: if you’re trying to change the whole world, great. Just don’t expect to get paid for it.
